We have had such a wonderful year together and this final week has been another fabulous week of fun and learning together.

The children carefully drew some of the beautiful sweet peas and the colourful nasturtiums which have grown from the seeds we planted in the spring time. They used water colour paints to paint the flowers and then made them into cards to thank their families for all their help and support in their learning. I too would like to say a huge thank you to all the families who have given the children so much support and encouragement over the year. ‘THANK YOU’ πŸ™‚

Together we thought about all the wonderful things we had enjoyed over the year. We shared our thoughts about the things that had made us happy!

Did you spot the awesome cake in the slide show! It was made by Logan’s mum and was decorated with our Learning Hive! It tasted delicious! A huge thank you from all 2F πŸ™‚

Here is some of the writing we did about our favourite things in Year 2.

Our final Special Mentions again were chosen by the children, as everyone had been so great, it was really impossible for me to decide. Together we chose Georgia and Colm for the beautiful paintings they did and Elsie for being such a kind, caring and hard working member of the class.

We have continued to achieve on Mathletics. Ben achieved his 2nd Gold Award and was awarded it at the Mathletics Club by Dean Tomlin who came to visit us from Mathletics.(Ben was also our Mathlete of the week, and has the trophe for the Summer holidays!) Β It was great to have Dean at the Mathletics club and he went round all the children, talked to them about their work and gave them new Super Mathlete stickers from Mathletics.

On our final afternoon we all enjoyed creating some LEGO creatures using bricks in the colours of the Learning Hive. We created penguins, bees, butterflies, caterpillars, robots and so many more creatures!

Thank you for all the lovely gifts and kind cards which the children gave me; thank you also for all the support and help you have given your children both at home and at school. It really is appreciated and makes a huge difference.

Have a wonderful holiday, but do remember ‘Everyday is a great day to learn something new!’ or practise the skills and learning you already have. Keep achieving your Mathletics certificates, read daily and blog about your holidays!

Thank you for a wonderful year, best wishes from Mrs Fisher, Mrs Suddards and Mrs Hodgson. πŸ™‚

PS.

At the end of the holidays, you may find it useful to revisit the post from the Transition Meeting.
