2LO had a great time at Thackray Medical Museum today. We spent the morning exploring the galleries, learning about our bodies and how to keep them healthy. The afternoon was spent learning about the life of Florence Nightingale. First, we looked at evidence to find out what conditions were like in Scatari Hospital before and after Florence Nightingale arrived. After, we all took part in a drama session about the journey to Scatari Hospital and her work in the war hospital during the Crimean War.
