Another busy week in 2F.
Saturday 2nd May | No comments yet
In Literacy this week we have been continuing our learning about writing information reports. Excited by the school Camp Over in June, we have been creating information leaflets about mini-beasts which we will be using as part of the range of activities in our North Nature Centre.
Madame Dragon has again helped by producing a useful sheet with tips to super report writing.
The children have saved their work on Purple Mash, so they may like to show you their work and possibly even add another paragraph of information. I let the children choose what they would like to write a report about next week; most of the class have chosen to write a report on pets and a smaller group are writing about dinosaurs. We will also be starting our new topic- Nocturnal Animals and we will be creating some quizzes and Top Trump Cards about these. Here are some links to sites about nocturnal animals, so that you can begin to find some facts!
In Maths we have been revisiting addition and subtraction and applying our learning to solving problems. Next week, we will be revisiting multiplication and division.
Well done to everyone for really challenging themselves this week. Enjoy your three day weekend, and I look forward to seeing you all on Tuesday. 🙂
