Another busy week in Year 2!

Friday 23rd June | 2 comments

This week in Year 2 we have had an extremely busy week. We started the week with our S Factor auditions. We were overwhelmed with the number of entries and were impressed with the way children presented their experiments. Following the auditions we had a class vote for our finalists. A big well done to Alice and Jimi! We are looking forward to seeing you in action again at the final next week. Here are a few photos….

We also had our fantastic trip to Skelton Grange. We hope you enjoyed looking at the photos! The children have since written recounts about their trip in English this week. Children wrote in paragraphs, using time adverbs to order the activities. Earlier in the week, we read the story ‘Superworm’ by Julia Donaldson. Children wrote book reviews to give their opinions.

In Geography this week we learned how to orientate a map. We visited the farm and located all the different areas.

In Maths, we have used tally charts and bar graphs to interpret information about mini beasts.

Next week we are looking forward to a visit to the bees, writing mini beast poetry, problem solving in maths and of course the S Factor final!

Have a lovely weekend.
