A delicious week in Year 2!

Friday 20th July | 5 comments

We have enjoyed finishing our Bee books this week. We have written about how bees make honey, why bees are important and added a recipe for making honey biscuits. Finally we completed the contents, index and glossary!

We really enjoyed making the honey biscuits; they were a real success! We hope that you can follow the recipe and enjoy making these at home too.honey biscuits recipe

We have been consolidating children’s understanding of time over the last few weeks. Children have been introduced to digital time to prepare them for further learning in Year 3. Some of us are still finding this tricky!

Thank you to Year 3 staff and children for organising a lovely picnic yesterday. For those of you who missed out, here are some photos!

Erin really enjoyed the transition picnic and all the fun games that were organised. Thank you year 3!

The bee book was amazing. I learnt a few things myself.

Yaseen has really loved learning all about bees and making honey biscuits. A special thank you to Mrs. Gilhooley too, for coming in and sharing her expertise.

  4. Zoe Webb (Jack Shann's Mummy) says:

Jack has had a great week. He loved having Nicole there to show her his bee book. It made it extra special as he knows Nicole outside of school so he came home with a massive grin on his face. He also enjoyed Mamma and Grandpa Jack coming to the transition picnic. He thinks his new teacher is really nice and I am one proud mummy to receive such a fab report. It was in such detail and so personalised. I want to thank all the staff who have worked with Jack and supported him this year. Have a well deserved break, it’s nothing less than you deserve.

Jack has really enjoyed doing his bee book and we will definitely be making the biscuits over the holidays, they were delicious!
