Another busy week in Year 2!
Friday 11th December | 1 comment
We have been keeping very busy this week with various art and craft activities in preparation for Christmas. Next week the children will be bringing home calendars, cards and decorations that they have made.
Geography
In geography lessons, we have been finding out about how polar bear habitats are being affected by global warming and about what we can do to help. The children made posters about the impact global warming is having on the Arctic regions and about the changes we can make in our everyday lives to try and reduce global warming.
Maths
In maths this week, we have solving money problems. The children have been finding totals and giving change. Please practise using the game below:

English

In English we read the story ‘ Harvey Slumfenburger’s Christmas Present’ and have enjoyed discussion and writing activities from the book.
Reminders for next week:
Thursday 17th December
We are having our party day next Thursday. Children can come in party clothes and bring a small amount of party food in a named box or bag, but please remember no nuts or food containing nuts. The children will have already eaten their lunch and so will not need to bring too much!
Friday 18th December
School closes for the holidays and will re-open on Monday 4th January 2021.
Wow what a fantastically busy week 2LO. Looking forward to receiving the Christmas crafts – thank you
