Another exciting week in Year 2!

Who was Florence Nightingale?
This week we have been finding out all about the life of Florence Nightingale and why we remember her today.
We had a great time on our trips to Thackray Medical Museum where we took part in lots of activities to learn more about Florence Nightingale. The staff and adults were really impressed with all the children, particularly with how well they listened and took part in the workshop. Our favourite part of the day was taking part in a role play, dressed as nurses and porters.
A big thank you to all our volunteers!
Back at school, we have written about our trip using time connectives, conjunctions and adjectives.
In maths this week we have continued our work on place value. Can you remember what the < > and = signs mean?
Requests for bits and bobs!
Please can you send in collage materials such as foil, bubble wrap, and sponges for our artwork
food and drink wrappers, packaging and boxes for discussion about keeping healthy.
Have a lovely weekend.
