Chocolates, Festivals and Celebrations

Well it’s been another extremely busy and exciting week in Year 2 this week!

As part of our Design Technology work, we turned our classrooms into Chocolate Factories.  The children had to plan, make and evaluate their box of chocolates.

In English, we have been learning about how to write a good set of instructions. We used our experience of making chocolates to help inform and inspire our writing.
We also had to give instructions to Mrs Loveridge and Mrs Lace about how to make a healthy fruit smoothie:

On Thursday, we were joined by the Year 2 children from Springbank for our Fundamentals Festival P.E. afternoon. The children had a great time showing off their skills in agility, throwing, catching and speed.

At lunchtime today, we had a special street party to celebrate the Royal wedding tomorrow. The sun shone and the children had such fun eating their picnics together outside. We were even lucky enough to catch a glimpse of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle!
