Fact Families, Music and Keeping Active in Year 2!

Friday 19th October | 2 comments

We have had fun this week in year 2, learning all about how important it is to keep active. We talked about the importance of exercise then in our PE lessons talked about how the different exercises made us feel. We timed ourselves doing different activities. How tired we all were!

In maths this week we have been learning about fact families. We have used bar models and part whole models to find all the different addition and subtraction sentences. What a lot of work we have done!

Can you make a fact family to match this part whole model?

In English this week, we have written our character descriptions for our super veggie or veggie villain. What crazy ideas we had! Children worked really hard on these and we were very impressed with their final drafts. We used drama to help us learn how to write question and exclamation sentences. Have you spotted any in this week’s blog?

We have enjoyed learning a song and performing it, adding some music with our glockenspiels.
