A creative week in Year 2!

Friday 14th June | 3 comments

This week the children have been very creative, enjoying lots of art and design activities. They have designed and made their own bog babies in clay and decorated them with natural materials. We think you’ll agree that they are amazing!

In English lessons, we have been writing a non-chronological report about our own bog babies. The children have yet again wowed us with their imaginative ideas and their application of writing skills.

In maths, the children have started thinking about the measurement of mass. They have used balance scales to compare objects using the words heavier and lighter than. We will continue to learn about mass next week.

Next week we are hoping for better weather so we can get on with our geography topic which we have put on hold this week!

Don’t forget S- factor auditions are next week. Please bring in your experiments on Monday!

Have a lovely weekend!

What a lovely week 2La have had! Nice to see the dreary, grey weather we have had this week has not affected the class’s creativity- quite the contrary actually! Brilliant work everyone!
