A noun is a person, place or thing.

Noun - intro noun anchor

Look around you – the words for all the things you see are NOUNS. (like table, chair, television, dog, cup) You can play ‘i-spy a noun!’ These words don’t need capital letters. They are COMMON NOUNS.

PROPER Nouns  A proper noun is the name of a person, place of specific thing. Proper nouns always start with a capital letter.medium-614105-2
