North Nature Centre.

Visiting Rodley Nature Reserve and Skelton Grange has really sparked an interest in nature for us all. We have really started to appreciate the wonderful environment that we have at Farsley Farfield Primary School. Together, we had a look at the grounds that surround us at the north side of the school and we have realised that we could have our own amazing nature centre right here.
Everyone has looked at an aerial photograph of the area and together we are planning how we could develop the grounds to help encourage the birds, animals and plants to thrive here. We plan to build mini beast homes, put up more bird boxes and feeders and plant more flowers. We would love to be able to invite our blogging buddies, our friends and families to the North Nature Centre; we hope to share our knowledge, interest and a wide range of activities.
Today in Literacy we could choose to hand write or use Purple Mash to write persuasive leaflets about our North Nature Centre. We were all very proud of the effort we put into our work and we are also very excited about our new project.
If you have any spare bird feeders or bird boxes at home, please could you let us use them. We also need any materials that we could use to help us create our mini beast hotels; this includes old plant pots, pieces of drain pipes, plastic bottles and containers, pebbles and shells.
