Farsley Farfield Year 2

Join us on our learning adventures.

Phonics, spelling and handwriting.

We do a short Phonics / Spelling session each morning from Monday to Friday. This page will help you practise the phonemes the children are learning in class. Each week we will add more links to the phonemes and work the children are doing.

Here are some general links to sites that will support your child’s learning in phonics and spelling. Although some of these sites have an option to pay for membership, you can get a lot free on each site too.

Alongside the Phonics Sessions we will also be teaching handwriting skills and the children in Year 2 will be starting to join up their handwriting. We will make sure that letters are correctly formed before the children start to join up, so some children will continue to practise letter formation first.
