Y2 Mosque visits

Tuesday 27th March | 5 comments

This week Year 2 had a trip to Leeds Grand Mosque. We had a really good time and found out lots about how Muslims worship. The children enjoyed finding out what Muslims believe, how they pray and about the 5 pillars of Islam.

Some children tried on different clothes to demonstrate how Muslims in different countries dress. We even saw an example of a scarf that could be worn in the desert!

The children were very interested and asked lots of fantastic questions throughout the morning.

Both classes were extremely well behaved and it was a pleasure to take them out of school.
