Another busy week in Year 2
Friday 18th June | 1 comment
We had a great time on our trip this week but we still managed to keep busy in school! We have continued with our work on the Bog baby story from last week, making our own clay bog babies and going on a bog baby hunt in our school conservation area. In maths we continued our arithmetic work and the children have completed a past SATs paper. We also started some work on position and direction, using language such as left, right, forwards, backwards. We will build on this next week in maths and in geography. Today we have written a recount of our trip to Skelton Grange. The children had so much to write about after such a busy day out!
Bog Baby Hunting!
Earlier this week, we went on a bog baby hunt in our own magical woods, the Conservation Area. We were extremely lucky to find some very strange creatures! We will continue to use this idea in our English work next week where we will be writing reports about our own bog babies.
Making Clay Bog Babies
We have designed and made our own bog babies in clay and decorated them with natural materials. We think you’ll agree that they are amazing!
We have updated the Year 2 chart with the miles we have completed in school. Many thanks to everyone for your efforts and support with this. We hope the weather is lovely this weekend so you can complete your miles!
