Happy Holidays

I hope you are all having a wonderful holiday.

I’d love to hear about some of the things you have been busy doing.  I have been away in our motorhome and we have explored 3,000 miles across France and Spain! We visited 4 zoos and my husband took 1000s of photographs! (I’ll post a link to them, when he has processed them) I met Oliver M and his family on a campsite in Brittany… what an amazing coincidence!

I just took a few photos on my phone, but here are 3 of my favourites. Have you ever seen a butterfly with see-through wings or a field of hydrangeas? What about the 3rd photo? Actually it is the Guggenheim Museum in Bilboa and the spider is a statue outside it, but I used a fish eye camera app on my phone.

Are you doing some of the Summer Challenges? If you post a comment about your holiday, it counts towards your ICT badge. You can also blog comments about any of the other challenges you are doing, or let me know about your work on Purple Mash. It’s brilliant to see that across school, 36 Mathletics certificates have been achieved, in the holidays. (Remember, the Challenges are all optional, so if your family are busy or you are away – don’t worry. The booklet was created for you to enjoy, if you had time to do it.)

Here is a copy of the Summer Challenge Booklet.

We went to Harlow Carr. I sat in the front of the car and told my mum which way to go. I also made some flapjack to give us energy.
We went around the Alice in wonderland trail. At the end you get a sticker and its lots of fun. We had to solve the riddles to find out who had stolen the tarts.
We played croquet with flamingos instead of cards for hoops and mallets instead of flamingos.
